If you’re buying the TCN Him and Shop cards to swap them for Uber gift cards, don’t forget that you can switch the payment method on past rides and orders made up to 30 days ago to use gift cards you’ve just added to your Uber account.

Purchase limits
The purchase limits are different for fixed value and variable load cards. Fixed value gift cards have a limit of ten per day whilst variable load cards (the ones where you specify the value you want to load) have a lower limit of two per day.
These purchase limits are separate so you could, for example, buy two $20-500 variable TCN Teen cards each loaded with $500 plus another ten $100 TCN Him gift cards on the same day for a daily total of $2,000 worth of gift cards.

How it works
Purchase any of the included TCN gift cards in-store at Woolworths between 7 Aug and 13 Aug 2024 and you will earn 20x points per dollar spent when you scan your Everyday Rewards card at the checkout.
The checkout screen should state how many points you are going to earn on the final page before you pay. Once you’ve paid, they should be instantly credited to your Everyday Rewards account.
This is a catalogue promotion so it won’t appear in your app. You don’t need to activate or “boost” it as it’s open to all members by default. You may see some posters for this offer at the gift card display but not all stores can be bothered to put them up.
Don’t buy any gift cards that aren’t specifically included in this offer. If you’re wanting to buy the TCN Teen card then make sure it’s the variable load $20-500 version as the fixed value $30 and $50 denominations are both excluded.
If you’re having trouble swapping your gift card on the TCN website, try registering your card first. That almost always fixes the problem.

Which cards are available in variable?
I believe just the TCN Teen, Active and Deluxe cards.
Can I use the TCN Cinema gift card at Event Cinema?
Yes. It’s basically just a prepaid Efptos/Mastercard gift card that is set to only work at merchants designated as Motion Picture Theatres so you shouldn’t have any problem using the card at any cinema.
So these cards have no activation fee?
That’s right. As a general rule, the only gift cards with purchase/activation fees are prepaid Visa, Eftpos and Mastercard gift cards you can use anywhere. Gift cards that are limited to particular merchants or merchant categories like these ones shouldn’t have any fees.
Can I use this weeks EFTPOS cards to buy these?
It worked in May so unless something has changed since then I suspect it will still be possible.
Is it true these giftcards can actually be used anywhere, not just for merchants described?
That’s not true. These gift cards can only be used at specific merchants or merchant categories.
Is there a website to sell/swap the cards for prepaid Mastercard
You can try selling a gift card on places like Facebook Marketplace or the OzBargain Classifieds but it’s fraught with risk and you’ll sell at a loss.
Has anyone tried to buy these with the eftpos gift cards recently?
I just completed a purchase at woolworth in eastgarden westfield and the clerk over here said that you can only accumulate a maximum of 1,000 bonus points a day, which means that no matter how many cards you buy and what the limit of each card is, you can only accumulate a maximum of 1,000 bonus points, and I don’t know if that’s the case or the clerk didn’t get the rules right.
That’s absurd. I wouldn’t listen to them. Staff say all kinds of odd things that aren’t true.
Follow-up: I drove to another woolworth and bought 10 $100 HIM gift cards and managed to get 10,000 Qantas points

How does the JB hi fi ones work if you want to use multiply to buy something online?
If you want to use them online then you will first need to exchange them for some of JB Hi-Fi’s own gift cards via the TCN website. There is no limit on the number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards you can use when checking out online.
Is TCN KIDS variable applied?
The TCN Kids gift card is not included in this offer.
